The Grief Center of Vermont is a community-based grief center located in the heart of the city of Essex Junction. We offer a diversity of programs for a range of needs, comfort levels, and forms of loss. All of our offerings are led by trained facilitators, doulas, artists, and grief specialists who have years of experience offering communal and personalized support to people experiencing all forms of grief and change. The Center offers a range of options to reflect, connect, co-create, learn, and process in community. Whether a drop-in group, a seven-week series, an afternoon ritual, or year-long retreat cohort, we seek to meet the deep and universal need for grief support in real-time. This is another way we explicitly welcome to you to find your place here in this house of belonging.

You do not have to carry the weight of life and death alone. Grief is highly personal, universal, non-linear, and arrives in many forms. You deserve layers of support and care. At a time when you can find online support groups of varying quality and size for anything under the sun and moon, we believe what engages grief (and the difficult dynamics of deep change) is being sustainably seen, held, heard, accepted, and welcomed by a community in a space that doesn’t disappear once you close your browser window or rotate to the next available conference room.
