A Fountain Not a Cup
a reflective and confidential cohort for teachers, social workers, therapists, or anyone in a professional caregiving or community leadership role
This is a cohort for those that hold the weight of their own experiences and also those of a community of people they work with. Teachers, mental health professionals, community leaders, and social workers may be particularly drawn to this offering that meets in-person monthly (with options between sessions made to suit the group and other cohort member benefits). Our time will be reflective, restorative, facilitated in a way that gives a strong container to relax into, and driven by your needs and the needs of the group.
We in the “helping” professions (already a complicated term) often consider the needs of others first or reach to help more easily than receiving the same. Grief is so universal and unifying, many referring their clients to circles here are also actively grieving. We want to ensure there is a safe space for this sub-community to gather and express the heaviness that inherently comes from our vocations and being human. Many are facing significant losses, yet they must show up to work carrying with them a deep tenderness that becomes hard to process among the many needs and caregiving demands so many aspects of our lives are shaped around.
This is an offering of compassionate and confidential space. This is NOT supervision (the teacher kind nor the therapist kind), consultation, or therapy. This is the gift of being seen and held community.
