A Fallow Season: Turning Within to Self-Steward

Do you feel it? The last orange, yellow, and copper leaves on the trees are being pulled down by the wind. We are being invited closer in to a fallow time together. This not a dead time, no. This is a time for turning inward to examine and fortify our internal soil, our composition, the ground from which everything grows. While we do not meet in-person until the first session on January 5, the invitation begins now, at the start of a long threshold of endings/beginnings that carry us to January. This long threshold encompasses so many traditions and celebrations that call us further and further into the deep freeze of a Vermont winter in which you will have a chance to turn to yourself and a small community of others in reflection, creativity, and care at the start of 2027.

Maybe you are a caregiver looking to replenish.
Maybe you have been clearcut and are looking for what is growing from the ash.
Maybe you need a moment to reassess your whole life after a big loss or change.
Maybe you have a recent interest in death doula work and wonder what there is to examine within before making such an outward vocational commitment.

There are many pathways in to The Fallow Season. Plan to begin 2027 differently on purpose.
